My forum website was previously built on the Flarum framework. In early June, I made the decision to migrate to the Discourse framework.
I’d previously purchased a server to trial this forum framework and found that the mobile UX was actually superior to Flarum’s. The reason I hadn’t migrated before was that the annual costs were too prohibitive. Now that I’ve migrated, the experience is much improved — the AI features mean I no longer need to worry about content moderation or translation issues.
So if I were to choose a forum framework for running a forum, I’d still opt for Discourse!
